PStart Version 2.11

PStart is a simple tray tool to start user defined applications. Designed to run portable applications (like portable Firefox & Thunderbird), you can start anything runnable from USB key devices or removable disks.
Install PStart locally to your hard disk to have an additional start menu with a quick program search feature.
Install PStart to your USB stick to launch portable applications easily and open important documents or folders.

PStart doesn't neccessarily have to be installed to your hard disk. Execute the installer and choose: you can install PStart to your local hard drive or a removable device.
Unlike Windows shortcuts, PStart uses relative paths, when installed as a portable application. If your USB key drive gets another drive letter when you insert it into another computer, your portable applications still can be started properly. This means you can also use PStart to start applications you burn to a CD (and don't know the drive letter either).
Of course not all applications are portable, but more and more software vendors notice, that people like the idea of carrying their applications with them. All future Pegtop applications will be portable (be patient). And there are portable versions of Firefox, Thunderbird, or even software development suites like Eclipse. ubSpawn 0.6.0

ubSpawn is a small and simple application to manage an unlimited number of files and folders for quick access. It's especially suited for portable applications on USB drives or mobile mediums.


The program was inspired from the excellent program starter application PStart, so that users could switch easily to ubSpawn.


In the future, ubSpawn will contain small helpers and some nice security features for working with portable applications on mobile drives more comfortable.




Release Highlights:

• Added: Automatic mode rotation for Title Wizard; now you can watch your date & time along with your news feeds without switching the modes manually.
• Added: Option in Title Wizard to proccess only the active window which currently has the focus.
• Added: New actions “Open Media Drive” and “Close Media Drive” to open or close your CD/DVD drives without pressing the drive button on your PC.
